Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media Cinespace Tours

DePaul’s School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) distinguished itself from all other film programs in the United States when it formed its alliance with Cinespace Chicago Film Studios in 2013, creating DePaul Cinespace Studios. The professional production facility is located within Chicago’s booming center for feature film and television production.

Due to the DePaul and Cinespace alliance, the film school has become one of fastest growing programs at DePaul and nationally recognized in both the Hollywood Reporter and Variety.  Students get access to the latest production equipment, learn in a real working environment, shoulder to shoulder with industry professionals, on an active studio lot.  Students can craft their ideas into high quality, festival ready films before they graduate.  DePaul has a 35,000 sq. ft. professional production facility with over 25,000 sq. ft. of shooting space on six sound stages. We will be visiting each stage on the tour. DePaul’s facility is designed to be a professional production studio that can acclimate to an academic environment.

DePaul’s alliance with Cinespace is a launching pad for film students to enter the creative workforce. Over hundreds of current students and alumni have found opportunities working on hit television shows. DePaul’s 3 stages (21A, 21B,22, 23, 24B and 26 ) are next door to Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Universal’s Production Services.

Potential students and their families can schedule tours at DePaul Cinespace Studios on Fridays throughout the year. Click here to register.
