In a rapidly changing job market, the skills that endure are often the ones labeled “soft.” But as technology evolves and the shelf life of technical skills shortens, qualities like communication, adaptability, collaboration, and leadership are becoming more indispensable than ever. In this session, Professional Lecturer, Kristen Pengelly MFA, will explore why these so-called “soft skills” are increasingly valued by employers and how they help professionals stay resilient in a constantly shifting workplace. Participants will also learn practical ways to identify, frame, and communicate these durable skills effectively on resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and in professional conversations.
