    Visit a Graduate course on-campus to see what it's like to study at DePaul University!

    This course is "Curriculum and Strategies: Social Studies" (T&L). Observing this course is best for those who are interested in Secondary or Middle Grades Education for Social Studies and History licensure-only and master's programs. The course is also beneficial, though not directly related, for other aspiring educators.

    At this event, you will meet with a representative at the Welcome Center who will walk you to your course and introduce you to the faculty. Limit of 1 course visit per prospective student. Because of restrictions, this event cannot be done online. 

    Course Description: 
    This course is an introduction to an integrated view of social studies for engaged citizenship.  Through the study of strategies (such as concept formation, historical inquiry, role-play, etc), materials (such as primary sources) teacher candidates will learn and apply principles of curricular integration to create curriculum/units that engage elementary learners in the exploration of  issues, ideas, and perspectives that impact our world.
