This seminar explores the consequences of incivility at work, and contrasts cultures that fuel dysfunction, conflict and rudeness with those that drive excellence and engagement. Participants will examine the factors that contribute to incivility in the workplace, and the evidence regarding the importance of respect and transparency in leadership. In addition, participants will examine practical strategies for confronting rudeness and promoting more positive interactions between employees.

Jaclyn Jensen, PhD, is an associate professor of management and associate dean of DePaul’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
