Join DePaul University for “Influencing Without Authority”
a highly acclaimed presentation with Professor Bob Rubin

This session is designed to be a primer regarding the fundamentals of influencing without authority. Participants will examine the evidence regarding the importance of influence skills in personal and organizational success and the extent to which some tactics are more or less effective in gaining commitment from others. In addition, participants will work in small groups to solve a short case and then using a new set of influence tools, reexamine the situation for different outcomes. As a result, participants learn that many of the most commonly used forms of influence tactics are also the very tactics creating resistance and distrust.

Professor Rubin specializes in the areas of organizational behavior and human resources management. His current research examines leadership assessment and development, organizational citizenship behavior and graduate management education.

Before the seminar, DePaul University will provide an overview of its MBA & other graduate program offerings. Lunch is provided.
