Microaggressions are deeply ingrained, unexamined sources of bias that lead to exclusion and conflict in the workplace. This session explores the research behind microaggressions and how they function to create harm. Participants will gain tools to identify microaggressions and how to respond if microaggressions occur.

Elizabeth Ortiz, PhD, is DePaul’s Vice President of Institutional Diversity and Equity. She serves on the boards of Diversifying Our Faculties in Illinois and the Illinois African-American and Latino Higher Education Alliance. She also serves as an officer of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education and was President of the Illinois Latino Council on Higher Education.

Before the webinar, DePaul University will provide a brief overview of the degree programs available to Walgreens employees, including corporate partner cohorts.
