    You will gain an understanding of verbal and nonverbal communication, two impactful ways to shape workplace outcomes and the growth of team belonging. Topics include: exploring the relationship between language, culture, and the uniqueness of human communication. When you understand your impact and influence on your people, clients, the business, the bottom line and beyond, you not only become informed, you become empowered.

    Veronica S. Appleton, PhD (candidate), is an award-winning scholar-practitioner with a passion for creativity and innovation. Appleton is a faculty member in the College of Communication with a focus on organizational and intercultural communications. Her research intersects understanding human behavior and culture building, with special interests in women of color in leadership and storytelling as an intentional tool for employee engagement.
