    Creativity has the power to fuel a company’s success. Brands like Apple, Disney, and SpaceX are revered for their innovations in an era when increasing global competition demands quick, creative solutions from every company. But what is creativity? Can creativity be taught? And how can creative problem-solving be used throughout an organization and not just in areas perceived to lend themselves to creativity (e.g., marketing)? Leave with a new outlook and several tools to inspire creative solutions in your work.

    James Alvarez Mourey is a professor of marketing at DePaul’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. He teaches Consumer Behavior in the MBA program. In addition, he is the director of the Modern Marketing Lab and the advisor for the DePaul Marketing Consulting Group. He is the vice president of an international non-profit focused on creative problem-solving education and a graduate of The Second City Conservatory.
