Do you find yourself feeling anxious or stressed when faced with change? Are you resistant to trying new things or stepping out of your comfort zone? If so, you may be experiencing the effects of a fixed mindset.
While most people exhibit a combination of both fixed mindset and growth mindset, the tendency to gravitate toward one or the other is driven by your life experience. Research indicates that individuals with a growth mindset experience less stress and anxiety, have higher self-esteem, and possess greater resilience than individuals who tend to be more fixed minded. However, your fixed mindset is most likely to surface when you desire to make a change, or you are thrust into change. Whether change is planned or unplanned, more than likely you need to step outside your comfort zone and do something different.
The fear of change can manifest in various aspects of our lives, from personal relationships to professional opportunities. Whether it's the prospect of starting a new job, changing careers, or even trying a new hobby, the fear of change stifles growth, halts progress and negatively impacts behavior giving you an overwhelming feeling of not being in control. Intentionally cultivating a growth mindset has numerous benefits and can mean the difference between success and failure.
In this interactive session, you will explore how mindsets are formed, and the dynamics involved in shifting your perspective to optimize positive behavior resulting in enhanced resilience, goal accomplishment, and expanded potential. This workshop also unravels the mystery of the comfort zone, unmasks the fears that hold you captive, and provides simple strategies to cultivate a growth mindset and eliminate the fear of leaving your comfort zone leading to effective and successful change—personally and professionally.
