The DePaul 3-day SHRM Certification Boot Camp offers an intensive and effective solution, combining expert instruction with the official SHRM Learning System.     The DePaul SHRM Boot Camp is an intensive, short-term review focused on the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (SHRM BASK), designed to help HR professionals prepare for the SHRM-CP (Certified Professional) or SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) certification exams.

    How long is the DePaul SHRM Boot Camp?
    This is a 3-day program. Due to its intensive format, it requires a significant time commitment during those days. There will be at least three breaks per day.

    When is the DePaul SHRM Boot Camp?
    8AM to 5PM CENTRAL, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 20-22, 2025 

    Where is the DePaul SHRM Boot Camp? Is this program online or in-person?
    This is a hybrid program, allowing you to attend live either at the DePaul Loop Campus or via Zoom.

    The cost of the boot camp is $1650.00. There are no discounts available.

    What topics are covered in a SHRM Certification Boot Camp?
    A comprehensive range of topics based on the SHRM BASK, including:

    What is the difference between SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP?
    The SHRM-CP is for HR professionals who primarily handle operational HR functions, like policy implementation and day-to-day HR activities; the SHRM-SCP is for those in senior, strategic HR roles, focusing on developing HR policies and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.

    Does the boot camp guarantee that I will pass the exam?
    While the boot camp provides thorough preparation, it does not guarantee passage of the SHRM certification exam. Exam success depends on individual study habits, experience, and test-taking abilities. DePaul will help you develop your study habits and test taking abilities and build on your experiences.

    Who is the instructor? Is the instructor SHRM Certified?
    John Newton, SHRM-SCP, is the instructor. He is a seasoned HR certification instructor with over 15 years of experience in helping HR professionals successfully prepare for certification and advance in their careers.

    Will I earn college credit for completing this boot camp?
    No. This boot camp is designed for SHRM certification exam preparation. However, you may be able to earn college credit for your SHRM Certification in DePaul's MA in Applied Professional Studies (MAAPS) program. Please contact DePaul for more information.

    How do I register for the SHRM Certification Boot Camp at DePaul University?
    You can register for the boot camp through the DePaul University Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) section of the DePaul SCPS website.

    What is DePaul University's refund policy for the boot camp?
    All requests to cancel registration and receive refunds must be sent to cperegistration@depaul.edu. Requests must be received at least seven (7) days before the scheduled start date of the course. If a cancellation notification is received within the seven-day window, a full refund will be issued, minus a $75 cancellation fee. Refunds will be processed via the original payment method; for example, credit card payments will be credited to the same card. Please allow three to four weeks for the university to process refunds via check or credit card.
