    Conversational Spanish for Adults Workshop

    This workshop series provides an introduction to the Spanish Language as it is practiced in Latin American contexts. It explores the fundamental elements of the language through simple lessons, grammar explanations, real-life conversations, videos, and games. You will learn the basics of reading and writing in Spanish and form an understanding and appreciation of Hispanic culture.

    Who Should Attend

    Working and retired adults with an interest in Latin America or in building communication skills with Spanish speakers

    • Communicate effectively and establish working relationships with Spanish speakers

    • Greetings and farewells
    • Nouns and articles
    • Present tense of "ser"
    • Present tense of regular "AR verbs"
    • Present tense of "estar"​​​​​​​
    • Numbers 0-100​​​​​​​
    • ​​​​​​​Telling time and places​​​​​​​
    • Pronouns and adjectives

    Are grades given in this workshop series?
    Students will receive assessment on a pass-fail basis.

    How is student progress assessed?
    The instructor will evaluate students' performance on homework assignments and oral presentations.
