Course: Social Media Marketing Seminar

Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon, YouTube... companies are using these "tools" to communicate with their customers, and you can too. Learn about social media and how to use it to enhance your business or career and build relationships in ways you never have before. Whether you are promoting your company, your personal business, your next career move or a local event, it pays to understand the value of online social networking sites.

With DePaul’s Social Media Marketing Seminar, you will gain a better understanding of the various benefits of social media, including communication, collaboration, multi-media and entertainment. You will also gain insight into the low cost and high yield associated with social media.

This one-day seminar can be taken as a stand-alone course and also fulfills one of the core requirements in DePaul’s Integrated Marketing Communications Certificate Program.

FAQ

What are the requirements for the Integrated Marketing Communications Certificate?
To receive the IMC certificate, students must successfully complete three required courses and two elective courses plus one seminar. Follow the link to learn more about the IMC Certificate and review the list of courses.

Do I get DePaul credit for this class?
No, but some DePaul CPE courses have been approved for CEU credits. This is a professional education class with different requirements than courses taken for academic credit.

How big is the class?
Class size is limited to allow for a more interactive environment in the classroom. Most classes have fewer than 20 students.

Is this course very technical?
Some of the topics are technical but are described in a way that a non-technical person can understand. At every stage of the program, theory is integrated with the technology - we aim to provide insight for technical and non-technical participants.
