    Communication with Confidence Certificate Program

    Your ability to communicate with confidence at work can make or break your career. This program will help you develop your strengths as a communicator in front of groups, at meetings and in one-on-one conversations. In a supportive, interactive setting, you will have the opportunity to practice public speaking, meeting facilitation and conversational skills that are applicable in a variety of work settings. The best practices you learn will allow you to overcome fears and habits that may be holding you back from achieving your work and career goals.

    This six-week program will strengthen your ability to make presentations, engage and involve meeting audiences, and tune up listening and questioning skills to achieve conversational competence at work and networking events.     Do I get DePaul credit for this class?
    No, but some DePaul CPE courses have been approved for continuing education units (CEUs). These classes are professional education classes with different requirements than courses taken for academic credit.

    How big is the class?
    Class size is limited to allow for a more interactive environment in the classroom. Class size will not exceed 15 students.

    Is this class offered in-class or online?
    This six-week certificate program is only offered in-class.

    Will I have to write papers and take exams?
    There will be short (1/2 - 1 page) reflection papers due weekly and several brief prepared oral presentations will be required throughout the program. There are no major papers or exams.
